Another Summer has ended and today marks the first day of Autumn here in Brisbane. In other places like Japan, it would be the first day of Spring.
It’s been nearly three years since I last visited Japan around this time- miss it so much. A lot has changed since then, but some things will always remain the same like the Japanese reverence for nature and the changing of seasons.
It was such a treat to witness the joy hanami season brought to the people. Visiting Miyajima Island and walking amongst the beautiful sights of cherry blossoms in full bloom was a favourite memory from my Japan trip.
Can’t wait to go back and experience Japan in Autumn, when the maples paint the streets and towns in glorious orange and red.
